Zemke and the Crew
The Team Photo
Meet Zemke and the Crew
The problem in this strip
Why does every team photo take 47 goes? Someone's always blinking, someone's always lost, and someone only has one pose.
Meet the crew: Kev the koala (crew), Sam the platypus (supervisor), Bec the kangaroo (bookkeeper), Monty the monkey (retired, still turns up) and Zemke the emu, who is the ZimQi bot. Gail the giraffe, the owner, is behind the camera.
What ZimQi really does
This one's just for fun.
ZimQi is now in early-access beta testing. Crew use Telegram.
Panel by panel
Panel 1: Friday arvo
Kev the koala, Sam the platypus and Bec the kangaroo line up for a photo, all doing the same thumbs-up pose.
Gail (behind the camera): Righto, team photo! Just act natural.
Kev: This is natural.
Panel 2: Take 2
The same line-up, the same thumbs-up pose.
Gail: Maybe... a different pose?
Sam: Fair. Approved.
Bec: I've only got the one.
Panel 3: Take 47
Monty the monkey, confused with a map, joins the line-up, and Zemke the emu waves at the end.
Monty: Is this the Northside job?
Gail (behind the camera): Perfect. Nobody move. Ever.
