How employee time tracking works in ZimQi

  1. Check in. Staff tap the job or site in the ZimQi chat when they start.
  2. Check out. They tap again when they finish. If they forget, ZimQi sends a nudge.
  3. Approve. Hours land in one list for you to approve or reject with one tap.
  4. Export. Export approved hours as a CSV or for Xero.

Do my staff need to download a new app?
No new one. Staff check in and out on Telegram, which is free on iPhone and Android, or from a web link in their phone browser.

Does ZimQi track where my staff are all day?
No. ZimQi records check-in and check-out times. It doesn't follow anyone around during the day.

Can I fix a wrong check-in or check-out time?
Yes. Reject the entry and have it corrected before you approve it, so the hours you export are cleaner.

Does it work with Xero?
You can export approved hours for Xero. ZimQi records times; it doesn't calculate pay.
